Robert Valero
I have been at Cushman since nursery school making me a living embodiment of the Laura Cushman Philosophy. With an early introduction to music classes, I found my passion in expressing myself through singing and playing instruments. I have always participated in Student Government, National Honor Society, and honestly any club I had time to join. My favorite Cushman memory was the seventh-grade trip to the Circle F Dude Ranch. National Honor Society, Brown book award, SAMx speaker, Posse Nominee, Silver Knight Nominee, Thespians Superior Wellness Club, Band Club, Photography Club, Creative Writing Club, Beach Volleyball, Go Green Committee, Spanish Club, Swim Team, Key Club, Flag Football, Steering Budget Committee, GSA I want to be remembered for being a leader and staying true to who I am as a person. SAM Project
Over the course of my time in high school, I have realized how necessary emotional education is for adolescence to lead a healthy life. I took from research and personal experience to share lessons on mental health education and awareness to my peers. Through multitudes of presentations, including SAMx, and starting the Wellness Club, I was able to shift the school’s environment to one that is extremely emotionally aware.

“Robbie is very calming. He is the type of friend that you would want next to you in the middle of a storm. He is always focused on his goals and does his best. I’m proud of him and I believe his success can be attributed greatly to his perseverance and effort, which will further lead him to greater accomplishments down the line.”
